Membership in the United States Kurdistan Business Council (USKBC) provides significant advantages:
The USKBC is one of the primary forums in the United States for events, discussions and networking related to doing business in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.
The USKBC acts on behalf of all its members to provide a strong, collective voice that will advocate within the U.S. and the Kurdistan Region for policies that strengthen economic opportunity and transparency in the Kurdistan Region or Iraq. The USKBC has the support of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG). The USKBC has a strong working relationship with the U.S. Government and key U.S. policymakers who can help facilitate American business and investment in the Kurdistan Region.
The USKBC has very strong relationships in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq and provides its members opportunities to team with the private sector in the Region.
USKBC staff and consultants have significant experience in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq and they provide on-the-ground knowledge and expertise in assisting foreign companies seeking to gain access to or expand business opportunities in the Region.
Membership in the United States Business Council (USKBC) is available to (1) business entities formed under the laws of a U.S. state or the District of Columbia (or which conduct business in the United States) and that conduct business or desire to conduct business directly in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq and (2) business entities that have offices or operations in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq and desire to do business with U.S. companies.
Membership dues, which cover a full 12-month period from the date of invoice, are available at three levels:
Board Member US $20,000
Associate US $10,000
Affiliate No Charge
All Board Members will automatically be extended a seat on the board of directors of the Council and will be recognized throughout the life of the Council as Board Members.
Associate Members are invited to all of the Council’s events and have access to the Council’s resources, but are not entitled to appoint a Director. Associate members may become eligible to appoint a Director by elevating their membership classification to Board Member.
Affiliate Members. By invitation of the Board of Directors, non-profit organizations may be offered membership without charge as Affiliate Members of the Council. An Affiliate Member will not have a right to appoint a director.
Under U.S. federal tax income rules, USKBC membership dues are not deductible as charitable contributions.
