03/6/22 March Trade Delegation
Following a hiatus due to closed borders and Covid 19, we reconvened our annual trade delegation to Kurdistan to meet with high level officials, explore new business opportunities, and witness the Kurdistan Region's post-pandemic economic recovery. The delegation visited the regional capital, Erbil, to meet with senior government officials and business leaders from around the Kurdistan Region between March 6 to the 9th.
08/19/2019 October Trade Delegation
The Kurdistan Regional Government recently seated a new administration led by Prime Minister Masrour Barzani. The USKBC is honored to be invited by the KRG to organize the first American business delegation to Kurdistan since the government formation. The delegation will visit the regional capital, Erbil, and meet with senior government officials and business leaders from around the Kurdistan Region, between October 13 and 17. Annual Trade Delegation 2018
Since the USKBC was founded, we have taken dozens of US companies to numerous cities in the Kurdistan Region to meet Cabinet members and private Kurdish companies on our annual trade delegation trip. US-Kurdistan Business Council Delegation Delivers Humanitarian Support to Internally Displaced Yazidi Students in Iraqi Kurdistan
12/15/2016 (Dohuk, Kurdistan Region of Iraq) – An international delegation of business and humanitarian leaders led by the United States-Kurdistan Business Council (USKBC) has provided funding and distribution of more than 125 school uniforms for internally displaced students who have found shelter in the Kurdistan region of Iraq. The distribution was conducted by the USKBC delegation in partnership with Linking the World and EDGE Institute.

USKBC Member Success Stories
Claremont Group is a New York based real estate development firm which has been operating in the Kurdistan region of Iraq since 2010. Claremont's first initiative in the Kurdistan region was The Atlantic - a residential community of over 1,500 villas and apartments in Erbil. With first-ever bank financing offered to homeowners through OPIC bank, The Atlantic is now delivered and occupied. Claremont's second major project is the Double Tree by Hilton hotel, slated for delivery by the end of 2018. As a founding member of the USKBC and an active participant in USKBC missions and events, Claremont has been able to strengthen existing bonds within the Kurdistan business and governmental spheres while forging new relationships for continued and long-term growth.

What We Do |
The main objective of the USKBC is to support member initiatives and interests pertaining to business and investment in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. The USKBC also works closely with the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) and the private sector in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq to ensure that foreign investment provides needed value and benefit to the region and is made in such a way as to reinforce and strengthen the already enormous economic opportunities there.

Why Iraqi Kurdistan? |
With one of the most liberal investment laws in the Middle East and significant needs in almost every industry sector, the Kurdistan Region presents untapped business opportunities for U.S. companies. It is the goal of the USKBC to identify such opportunities for its members. The USKBC also works closely with the U.S. Government to ensure that it continues to support the development of the Kurdistan Region as a secure, stable and economically prosperous region in Iraq.
